City of Glass

City of Glass - Cassandra Clare MAGNU MAGNUS MAGNUS MAGNUS BANEEEE!!!!ALEC ALEC ALEC ALECCCC LIGHTWOODDDDDD!!!!

THEY'RE SO AWESOME AND SO HOT HOT HOT!!!

Radiant

Radiant - Cynthia Hand *sighs*

The Angela I used to like more than Clara has changed. Argh. Don't know what to do with her. Please Angela, don't do something stupid in the last book. Thank You.

Wake

Wake - Amanda Hocking It begins with a boring narration and the thrilling part just started almost in the middle of the story.

If you're thinking that this whole thing has to do about mermaids. Sort of, but its not. They call themselves 'sirens'. Sirens are greek mythological creatures who were once human but cursed by a goddess. They are shape-shifters, they can turn into a mermaid with those sharp teeths, or turn into a giant bird, and back to human form. But what they eat? Humans.

Who doesn't like those things? So WAKE caught my attention.

I somehow liked how the story went. It was just that there were some cliche parts like a group of perfect hot girls came to your place out of nowhere. And mysterious crimes started to happen. And if I were just a little girl maybe I could appreciate the love teams between Gemma and Alex, and Harper and Daniel. It was not that appealing. I just didn't find it romantic at all. This was not that bad. Just that it didn't excite my interest. But it still a good book.

Suicide Watch

Suicide Watch - Kelley York Don't ask me if I liked the book, because i loved it!

First things first. The cover caught my attention. I liked it. It reminds me of one of my favorites anime character, 'L' from Death Note.

Anyway, Suicide Watch. That book. That book breaks my heart. God, I'm being emotional again. Don't do this to me.

Peraonally, the story really touched my heart. Its very heartwarming. Like i want to spend the whole day crying in my room and reminisce.

The book has great characters. Casper. Adam. Vincent. They are this kind of characters that would leave marks in your heart. And you are definitely gonna love and miss them.

And when I already finished the book, the feelings were overwhelming. I didn't know what to feel. Whether to be sad or happy. Nevertheless, it was a good ending. Good book!

End of the Beginning

End of the Beginning - John Goode I was not able to like Maybe With A Chance Of Certainty, but I'm glad that I enjoyed this one. I think Brad's point of view is quite preferable than Kyle's. I had more fun having Brad's thoughts the way how he was undeniably in love with Kyle. .I haven't thought that I'd like this. Just didn't quite like the metaphor stuff because it was tiring.

Maybe With a Chance of Certainty

Maybe With a Chance of Certainty - John Goode ***Warning: This is a negative review.

I feel bad about myself for not liking the book because everyone seems to enjoy it. But the whole review is based on my opinion.

First, the story lacks maturity. Why? The whole plot is terrible. It's a cliché story in its highest level like those annoying children books in a poor-pretty-girl-meets-young-handsome-prince-way. But this one is more likely to look like in a poor-smart-boy-meets-handsome-popular-guy-way.

The story follows two different teenagers. Kyle was the poor yet smart boy who lived with his dumbass mom. And he was the unpopular one who made himself distant from everyone else. And there was Brad. A popular baseball player who adored by everyone and lived with his wealthy family..But despite of the good image, no one knew he was broken inside.

That kind of concept is very familiar and overly used and childish.

Second, superbly annoying characters. Yeah. I know the fact that Kyle was deeply in love with Brad. But when Brad approached Kyle to talk something, it caused Kyle into erection. The heck was that?? Was that even 'love'? or 'lust'? or is that even normal, that seeing or talking to your crush causes you into erection?? oh God, can someone help me, please?

And for Brad, what the hell he was doing asking someone he barely knew to help him to study history? Where were his friends? oh I knew it! he liked Kyle too! You nailed it Perco! You nailed it! (-_-)

And this so-called love story between the two was just as rapid as a bullet. If we do the math, it took only few hours of their relationship for them to kiss each other, for Brad to share his feelings to a stranger. And it took only a day and half for them to messed up one another. My God. Were they kind in a hurry?

And that annoying part when Kyle and Brad argued, their conversation was very emotional like they've been together for years. Excuse me? You guys just been together for 2 days. Are they for real?

And the most ridiculous part is, when Brad tried to introduce his girlfriend to Kyle. And that was the time Kyle that acted differently that pissed off Brad. The hell??

Did Brad even forget that he had something with Kyle? That he and Kyle kissed each other, argued like they were married for years, and they even jerked off one another. Were those things as easy as clapping your hands to be easily forgotten? Maybe Brad was an superbly insensitive moron.

Lastly, the endless car metaphor. Im sorry but it was very tiring and boring. Dont know how to feel about that.

I dont know if i can recommend this to you but I heard the second book is better than this. I think its worth a shot.

Looks Over

Looks Over - Rose Christo Gives Light Series is definitely my favorite mm series. I'm really fond of it. I've been reading books with the same genre and this is my very first time encountering a gay series who doesn't give a damn about being one. No discrimination. No labeling. No raising of eyebrow. Everything is normal. No big deal. Just like reading a love story between a boy and a girl, whose gender is not the main conflict of the story.

Love is in every corners of this book. Rose Christo didn't just focus between the two characters Skylar and Rafael. But also to Sky's loving dad, Paul Looks Over. I was too overwhelmed with the great affection of Paul to his son. I haven't even noticed that I was already shedding tears. And as always, Rafael who never failed to fascinate the readers with his love for Sky.

Rose Christo also shows in her work how the native americans struggle to fight for their rights. I'm just hoping for them to have the victory of their goals.

This is such a great story that everyone should know about.

Gives Light (Gives Light Series)

Gives Light - Rose Christo I'm very happy to have this book. Gives Light probably the best mm series have ever written. I mean this book is not just only for those who love glbt genre. But this very book is for everyone out there.

"He knew what I was feeling, if not what I was thinking. He made me feel like I had a voice."

This book undeniably demonstrates to every reader what a true love is.

Don't get me wrong. Its not what you think. Its not the poor-pretty-girl-meets-young-handsome-prince way. But the love in general.

"Getting Raphael to smile always felt like a personal victory."

I learned from this book that love is not just a word with four letters; L- O-V- and E. But the love that sees no fault and the love that loves unconditionally.

If you want to feel whay I've felt. Just buy the book and fall in love with it. And be prepared to be overwhelmed because the author filled the story with great characters, especially Skylar that dumbass Raphael. Every chapters is heartwarming. And at the end of the book, allows a single tear to shed and brace yourself for the next book.

If I Stay

If I Stay - Gayle Forman If I Stay gained quite popularity over the internet for the past few weeks. With its good reviews from the readers. But what really made me into reading this book was I found out that there would be an upcoming movie of the novel and the lead character will be played by Chloe Moretz. And I was like, i must read the book asap before the movie comes out.

So the girl was Mia. A cellist. And a girlfriend to a cool rockstar Adam. Her parents were both adorable who used to be punks. And there was her cute little brother Teddy, who insisted to be called 'Ted' because he thought he wasn't a kid anymore. They were a happy family, bound with music.

Until a car accident occured when her family who gone for a visit. Leaving her the only survivor. She searched for her parents but they were both lifeless. And she looked for her little brother, but in her surprise she saw herself instead, covered with blood and lying on the snow.

-------

The characters in the novel were very adorable. I liked how Mia used to play the cello because it reminds me of my favorite japanese singer who also plays the instrument. But the character sometimes managed to lose her confidence, doubting herself from doing anything. But Mia was very lucky to be surrounded with great people. There was her friend Kim who helped her to regain her interest to music. Her very supportive parents who left everything behind just to be good mom and dad to them.

And of course, there was this cool rockstar guy, Adam. A very fictitious character who would cross the deepest ocean and conquer the raging storm just to be with Mia. I like Adam here because her love to Mia was unconditionally. He never get bored hanging out with her, he tried to be okay with Mia's genre.

The turn of the events were very gloomy. There were a lot of deaths. It was a sad story. But do you know the feeling that you just started to like the character and suddenly would die after? Ouch. Just ouch.

If I Stay is a heartbreaking novel. Recommend this to everyone.

The Prince

The Prince - Kiera Cass When I finished reading the first book The Selection with all my might, I found out it was a terrible idea. And now having this short novella is even worst.

The Prince has only six chapters with Maxon's point of view, and an excerpt from the next book. But sad to say I abruptly stopped reading at the middle of the fifth chapter. I didn't like hearing Maxon's inner monologue.

Its pretty obvious that this is not for me. And I don't know if its for you too.

The Selection

The Selection - Kiera Cass The Selection goes with a very elegant cover. Apparantly, the looks can be deceiving.

I just can't figure it out that this book gets a very high rating. It's terrible.

This one is mash-up between the The Hunger Games girlified Version! and The Bachelor which is awful. No wonder the book receives a lot of negative reviews.

I finished the entire book at exactly 1:56 A.M. and just wasted my time. But somehow, I managed to enjoy it.

Since the plot is very alike with the The Hunger Games. Why not put all the 35 Selecteds into hunting and killing each other and the last girl standing will be the One? Just kidding.

The Unbound

The Unbound - Victoria Schwab ***This review contains some spoilers.

"For an instant, he stares at me, blue eyes wide. And then the light goes out of Owen's face"
He kept his word. He believed in something, however misguided.

Argh. I've never felt this sorry for an antagonist before. It just breaks my heart. Yeah. I know the fact that Mac has been through a lot because of Owen. But I dont know what the hell i am feeling right now.

But dont get me wrong. I liked the character of Mac. A girl who knew to kick history's butts back to the Returns. I was overwhelmed by the character.

Anyway, the turn of the events is fantastic. Its thrilling. Its never boring. I mean, I thought the whole story would be all about Mac endlessly hunting histories and sending their asses back to the Returns. But the story got more exciting when Mac came back to school. With new cool characters.

The twists are very shocking. The Unbound is great book for everyone who loves YA and Paranaormal and Mystery.

Im very glad I've read this novel. Cant wait for the next one.

The Archived

The Archived - Victoria Schwab Imagine a place where the dead rest on shelves like books.

Awesome right? I was overwhelmed by the whole concept of the story. It's unique. And every time I thumb through the pages the events are getting more and more intense and thrilling. That didn't stop me from gripping the book.

The story led by a girl named Mackenzie Bishop. The character featured a strong woman. A very cool character that never annoyed me by being too girly. And also the chemistry between Mac and Wesley was good. I mean, it was not that overemphasized which was very okay for me.

And as you go on and on with the strory and as the secrets were unveiled. They were shocking, because you didn't even consider those to happen. So there was a lot of guessing.

If you like a paranormal y.a. book with new concepts and less romance. This book suits you.

Bear, Otter, and the Kid

Bear, Otter, and the Kid - T.J. Klune This book deserves a 5-star!!!!

Of course, who wouldn't love
Papa Bear and Otter and the nine-year-old vegetarian ecoterrorist-in-traning, Ty?

Plus , The awoseme Anna and Creed and add it more with the elderly next door neighbor Mrs. Paquinn?

And who woudn't forget the overly attached Otter's ex-boyfriend who got a bleeding nose from Papa Bear's punch? And also the goddamned antagonist mother who abandoned her children with an envelope containing $135.50? And out of nowhere, coming back after three years and tried to ruin our Papa Bear-Otter thing? Oh c'mon.

But overall, I liked everything about the book. I cried a bucket of tears. I laughed like there was no tomorrow. And I shuddered in delight with Papa Bear and Otter love team.

Grasshopper Jungle

Grasshopper Jungle - Andrew Smith Austin.

This is what I think about Austin.

He was an asshole. (He said it to himself by the way)

"I was being such an asshole to my two best friends"

I don't know if I would love or hate the character. I just don't know.

Maybe I'm 50% mad at Austin because I felt sorry for both Shann and Robby. They both deserved to be respected. Austin was selfish. And was so horny too all the time.

His kissed his girlfriend. He kissed his boy best friend. He wanted to have a threesome with them. He had sexual intercourse with Shann. He also wanted to have sexual intercourse with Shann and Robby's moms. EDEN NEEDS HIM!

He was not confused at all, especially at the age of 16. My God.

And 50% for pity. 'Coz Austin had B.O.

Robby.

Here comes the god of all those shit alien bugs. Our Hero. Robby.

A queer who had feelings for his best friend Austin. Loved skateboarding and smoking around with Austin. Named his balls 'coz Austin did. Tried to save the humanity with Austin.

Seriously? Couldn't this guy live without Austin?

By the way, Robby truly deserved a Nobel Prize, a million dollar, and a trip to Sweden WITHOUT Austin. Deal with that.

Shann.

Shann got pregnant at the age of 16. Good girl! EDEN NEEDS HER!

Everything was weird. The Dr. Grady McKeon's unstoppable corn that dissolves balls. Ingrid a golden retriever who couldn't bark and loved to shit. Satan's Pizza. And everything.

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe - Benjamin Alire Sáenz While reading the book...

Me: oh my gosh.. oh my
gosh...

After reading the book...

Me: Mom! Mom!
Mom: What??
Me: Can you call an ambulance?
